Hegel Music Systems was founded in 1988 in Norway by Bent Holter. With 2x200W of power and a dual monoblock power supply, the H200 integrated amplifier has a more dynamic and rhythmic sound than its younger siblings. The H200 bridges the gap between the H100 integrated amplifier and the P4Amk2 preamplifier/H20 power amplifier combination. A new feature of the H200 is the home theater input, which allows it to be combined with an external home theater system.
The H200 has a relay-switched input source selector and can be connected to various types of music sources. The display shows the selected input source and the volume setting. The integrated amplifier has a new active preamplifier stage with digital control and new, improved SoundEngine amplifier modules. It has both balanced and unbalanced inputs.
The idea behind the H200 project was to create a new generation of amplifiers based on the new and improved SoundEngine amplifier technology from the H4SE power amplifiers, combined with a completely new active preamplifier stage with digital control. The H200 is an extremely musical integrated amplifier. Completely devoid of the classic "transistor sound" that is able to drive the most dynamic loads. The device is equipped with a remote control.
The H200 has more powerful power supplies and high-quality components, and it also physically and electrically completely separates the two channels (dual mono).
