The GIGAWATT cable uses a new type of conductor with high conductivity and a new insulator. Four conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm2 are used. They are made of 99.997% copper (OFHC C10100). Additionally, the conductors are annealed (in order to obtain a homogeneous structure and better conductivity).
The insulation of the conductors is made of flexible polyethylene with a reduced dielectric constant. The outer coating is made of soft PVC, which provides extreme flexibility of the entire cable. Additional protection of the cable is a graphite, wear-resistant plastic layer.
The cable design guarantees a powerful current reserve. In turn, its relatively large self-capacitance, which is a result of the geometry of the conductors and dielectric properties, provides excellent filtering and damping properties. The cable conductors are protected by a static screen made of plastic laminated aluminum foil. The shield design, which covers 100% of the cable surface, perfectly protects against any external interference. At the same time, the shield prevents the formation and propagation of internal interference. In the design of the cable, great attention was paid to reducing vibrations generated by the electromagnetic field induced around the conductors. All parallel working wires, together with the shield, are surrounded by an elastic material that suppresses unwanted vibrations.
The cable is equipped with high-quality connectors with a large contact area, which provide reliable current from the network. The contact elements of both connectors have undergone a demagnetization process. All conductors are connected without the use of tin, which guarantees reliability and optimal operation.
LC-1 MK3 + is a network cable whose excellent properties provide improved playback in audio-video devices.
