Analogue interconnect cable with LSC (Linear Structured Carbon). The First Ultimate cable is a variant of the classic First cable from Van den Hul (the world's first metal-free cable) with three-layer heavy shielding. This cable was designed to provide the highest quality transmission of line-level signals (unbalanced connection) and digital SPDIF audio signals.
The acoustic results of using the First Ultimate cable were so different and so much higher than those that can be obtained using any known metal cable that it turned out to be a real breakthrough in cable technology. In addition to the many highly innovative technical aspects of this product, its acoustic characteristics are even more attractive. In particular, it is necessary to mention the absence of dynamic compression at the highest signal levels, improved performance at low signal levels and the complete absence of harshness in the sound. It is these qualities that set this cable apart from the rest. For critical listeners who place high demands on the spatiality of the reproduced sound, this cable is the ultimate choice. No other cable produced transmits as much spatial information as the First Ultimate cable.
The main conductor material is LSC (Linear Structured Carbon). The First Ultimate cable has a coaxial design that includes a central conductor made of LSC material, made of 12,000 individually insulated cores with a diameter of 7 microns each.
The total diameter of the central conductor is 1 mm. The individual insulation of the cores prevents the transfer of electrons from one fiber to another. The direct result of this is that the electrons move in the cores with a diameter of 7 microns in only one direction. The movement of electrons "sideways" is practically impossible. All this prevents the occurrence of most acoustic problems. The acoustic results: significantly cleaner sound reproduction.
The insulation of the central conductor is made of foamed polyethylene, which allows to achieve low capacitance between the inner and outer conductors with minimal dielectric losses. Unlike the First cable, the outer braid of the First Ultimate cable, which functions as a screen and as a return conductor, is made of six (instead of two) layers of interlaced LSC fibers. In total, the outer braid consists of 114,000 individually insulated fibers. The outer sheath of the cable is made of Hulliflex 4 material in light yellow with black marking. Hulliflex 4 material provides excellent mechanical protection and has very high chemical resistance.
The result of these innovations is a cable without any defects. Thus, when using any combination of equipment, the sound improvement has become noticeable not only to experienced listeners. All users will be truly satisfied with the sound reproduction for the first time in their lives. The First Ultimate cable also works perfectly when transmitting a digital signal.
