The Vista Audio-Phono 2 mk1 phono equalizer reproduces the best sound from any high-quality turntable and does so with maximum dynamic range, high resolution and detail. It is ideal for almost any moving coil (MC) cartridge or any moving magnet (MM) cartridge.

The sturdy steel case contains the preamplifier circuitry and a stabilized and filtered power supply. The external power supply is a simple linear frequency transformer, deployed to eliminate the effects of electromagnetic fields on sensitive electronics.
The underside of the phono-2 contains microswitches that are used to adjust the cartridge load ("Load"), the preamplifier gain ("Gain") and the output filtering ("Low-pass filter").
Eight separate loads can be set using separate switches. (47k, 22k, 10k, 1k, 500 ohms, 200 ohms, 100 ohms and 47 ohms). The loading of the cartridge is set using the switches as indicated by the inscription printed between the switches.
If this is not enough, similar to the optimization of the loading and gain, the phono-2 can have an unlimited number of settings by removing the top cover and gaining access to the terminals for inserting additional loading resistors and capacitors. These terminals are marked R11 and R12 for the loading resistors and C11 and C12 for the loading capacitors.
NOTE: In order to accurately load the cartridge with additional resistors, all microswitches on the rear panel must be in the OFF position. When adding load capacitance, the standard capacitance of 50 pF should be taken into account: for example, if a total load capacitance of 200 pF is desired, the additional capacitor should have a value of 150 pF.
There are six different gain settings: 40 dB, 50 dB, 55 dB, 60 dB, 65 dB and 70 dB. The preamplifier gain is set using DIP switches located on the PCB next to the switch.
The Phono-2 has an innovative extension of the active offset compensation circuit to provide filtering of the output signal without adding capacitors to the signal path. There are three settings available:
1) No filter: this setting leaves only the active offset cancellation engaged and the preamplifier bandwidth is reduced to 2 Hz.
2) 10Hz, Slow Roll-Off Filter: With this option enabled, the phono-2 frequency band is reduced to 10Hz, but the roll-off starts at around 40Hz. This option is useful for recordings using the IEC RIAA curve.
3) 10Hz, Fast Roll-Off Filter: A version of the subsonic (rumble) filter. The passband is reduced to 10Hz, but the roll-off starts below 20Hz, thus not affecting the audio frequencies.

It was pleasure to cooperate with Yaroslav. Wasn't easy to find way for amps to came from Ukraine to Serbia, but we do it together. Wery pleasant guy. It was enjoy to speak with him.
