The Tannoy TD centre speaker combines an 8-inch dual concentric driver, a SuperTweeter and two additional woofers. First-order crossovers set at 400 and 1.4 kHz. The first-order crossover at 400 Hz for the additional woofers minimises negative interaction with the concentric mid-range driver.
The SuperTweeter titanium dome driver uses a copper-plated aluminium voice coil and a neodymium magnet system. Inside the speaker you will find: high-purity hard silver wiring with PTFE-coated dielectric; non-inductive planar thick-film resistors; and high-quality polycarbonate capacitors.
