Audio-Technica AT-677 - An audiophile mat made of Technihard aluminum, created for the NASA space program with the addition of special additives, designed to maximize tracking of every detail in the recording.
The surface is concave by 1.5 degrees from the periphery of the disk to the center, which tightly presses the surface of the disk with a clamp. This corrects the bends of the vinyl and improves readability.
The reverse side of the mat is also working, but it has an even horizontal profile and provides for use as a traditional flat mat.
