SONY SQD-2020 - The SQ decoder is designed for quad recording on vinyl, employing a variable blend type full logic circuit.
The newly developed variable blend method is used in the F/B logic circuit to blend and suppress crosstalk with opposite phases on the right and left sides. The amount of this blend can be varied according to the input signal.
It has built-in SQ decoder and RM decoder, and also can reproduce discrete 4 ch by using the demodulator for CD-4.
Equipped with a 4-channel master volume, you can adjust the overall volume by adjusting the level of each channel in advance.
You can freely adjust the balance of each channel while watching the VU meter.
There is a built-in tone control for the back amplifier, and the back output can be switched between high and low levels.
Equipped with a phase selector switch, the phase of the front and back amplifiers can be set.
It is equipped with a system switch that gives priority to the 4 ch function. The 2 ch tape position of the monitor switch allows recording / re-monitoring only when the system switch is set to 2 ch.
With built-in 2 → 4 positions, you can enjoy the conventional 2 ch source with the 4 ch hole tone effect.
