The SE logic circuit is used to improve the crosstalk problem of the matrix 4 ch. This circuit uses the main signal to create a negative-phase signal, eliminating and suppressing only the crosstalk components that leak into each channel, and achieves discrete-like separation. This logic circuit is based on the principle of the logic circuit. First, a comparison detection circuit detects the magnitude of the signal between the opposite channels and converts it into a DC control signal. This signal is sent to a gain control circuit (gain control), and the main signal is controlled to become an erase signal with phases opposite to each other of 0° and 180°. Then, the main signal (the output of the matrix) and the erase signal are mixed by an addition circuit, and the crosstalk component is eliminated. This structure ensures distortion-free sound quality unlike AGC, which directly controls the gain of the main signal, because the main signal is adjusted without any modification. The decoder has built-in RM (Regular Matrix), SQ, and QM-4 matrix, and is designed for wide adaptability to 4 ch playback.
As a result, most commercially available records can be played in 4 ch by switching the switch. The CD-4 system can also be used as a 4-ch control center by installing a demodulator connection terminal.
