The most famous amplifier of the French company Jadis. This 45 kg device provides 100 W of power per channel, allowing you to open any kind of speaker system while maintaining its musicality, regardless of the listening level.
Jadis Defy 7 is a two-stroke tube amplifier that works in A / B. Power and output transformers, handmade by Jadis, are installed.
Although the amplifier is very heavy, it draws much less power (about 240 watts) and runs much cooler than comparable 100 watt Class A stereo amplifiers.
Different lamps can be used in the amplifier:
- in the output stage (KT-88, EL-34, 6550, 6CA7 and KT-90)
- in the driver cascade (ECC83, 12AX7, 7025)
- in the input stage (ECC82, 12AU7)
