All models of acoustic systems of the Austrian company Vienna Acoustics are named after famous composers: Bach, Haydn, Mahler, Mozart, Beethoven... The Vienna Acoustics Schonberg model, named after Arnold Schonberg, known for his expressive compositions, was no exception.
Vienna Acoustics Schonberg can also affect a person, however, at the level of visual perception. All speakers included in the Schonberg series are distinguished by curved body shapes. The speaker is made of aluminum, which has undergone special treatment and anodization, thanks to which the surface is slightly rough. Floor Schonberg can be installed on regular stands, which rest on three spikes.
The design of the Vienna Acoustics Schonberg is a so-called sandwich: two curved aluminum plates. Such an unusual shape of the hull allows to reduce internal standing waves. Schonberg, in essence, are 2.5-band speakers. That is, the upper speaker is "responsible" for reproduction of medium and low frequencies, and the lower one - only for the bass range. Each loudspeaker is in a separate chamber, equipped with its own phase inverter output, which is directed to the side. The high-frequency head is located rather unusually, the tweeter is shifted to the side and slightly back relative to the horizontal axis.
