Speaker systems of the series, equipped with classic Tannoy Dual Concentric speakers with a diameter of 25 and 20 cm, in which titanium Wideband tweeters are built, characterized by high rigidity and lightness of the emitter dome.
The Definition DC10Ts are made in new cases that have a special reinforced construction and a chic black piano lacquer finish. Internal wiring in the speakers is made with high-quality silver-plated cable.
It is important that the technically "prestige" elements of the Prestige series are preserved. These are, first of all, crossovers with audiophile details, which are processed using the company's Deep Cryogenic Treatment technology, which involves immersion in liquid nitrogen with a decrease in temperature to minus 190 degrees, and then a gradual return to room temperature, which, according to engineers, has to minimize the internal stress in the components, and to improve the audio signal transmission and resolution.
The high-frequency element (2.5 cm) of the Tannoy Dual Concentric head is placed on the axis of the woofer in such a way that radiation is carried out from one point in space. The diffuser of the woofer element (it is 25 cm in the DC10T) is made of paper pulp and fixed on a double suspension made of specially treated fabric. The internal wiring is made of silver-plated copper cable with a high degree of purification, and the cable terminals are taken from the well-known German company WBT. The bodies of the rounded speakers are made of birch plywood, which grows in northern countries and therefore its structure is particularly dense. Internal screeds are made of different materials, which made it possible to improve the rigidity of the speaker housing and improve the accuracy of sound transmission. The protective nets (grills) are attached with the help of magnets.
