The Piega Premium 50.2 premium speaker system is equipped with two mid-bass heads with a diameter of 180 mm. The paper diffusers of the speakers have characteristic radial notches, like those of the famous ScanSpeak speakers.
Audiophile crossovers connected to WBT acoustic terminals, made according to Piega specifications, are used to ensure signal transmission as close as possible to the original. A special technology was used in the development of the case. The frame of the speaker system is made from a single piece of aluminum under a pressure of about 7,000 tons. Speaker housings are equipped with internal stiffeners and ties to suppress wall vibration and eliminate standing waves. The LDR 2642 ribbon tweeter has been replaced by the new MKII model. It uses a special system with magnetic "lenses" focusing energy only on the plane of the ultra-thin membrane, which significantly increases its efficiency. In turn, the new material of the membrane made it possible to minimize deformation during transient processes. As a result, the frequency range reached the mark of 50 kHz.
