A large and powerful case, more appropriate, for example, for a CD player, a strict front panel with an inconspicuous logo, high-quality gold-plated connectors. On the top cover of the amplifier awaits you "hello from the seventies" - an engraved block diagram of the amplifier. The design of the amplifier is conservative, there is no built-in DAC, no USB interface, a fairly simple circuit on discrete elements that works in pure class A.
The parallel inclusion of the output transistors allows the P-200 not only to develop a decent output power for headphones, but also to reduce the noise level, as well as to improve the damping of complex loads. A special timer connects the load to the amplifier only after it is warmed up and fully stabilized, protecting the headphones.
The sound of the P-200 corresponds to its appearance: strict, slightly restrained, but at the same time exceptionally detailed; linearity throughout the wide frequency range and excellent transfer of micro-dynamics will allow you to hear a lot of new things in well-known recordings. The spatial picture created by the P-200 is impressive: even with small headphones, it manages to create a lively, realistic stereo panorama, musical instruments surround you, and not concentrate inside your head.
The bass is deep and energetic, but not intrusive and does not come to the fore. Even listening to music for many hours on the P-200 does not tire.
