The Austrian company AKG positions this model as a professional one - for sound recording, mixing, mixing sound tracks. AKG K712 Pro has a lot in common with less expensive models of the company. Distinctive features are completely open bowls (consisting of two rings of perforated plastic - outer and inner) and dark - orange accents in the body design. The ear cushions are round in shape, quite large and deep in themselves, made of velor and filled with memory foam inside. The inscription “AKG” is visible on the headband, and the phrase “Made in Slovakia (EU)” is displayed above the right cup. The headphones use a one-way connection through the left cup according to the standard 3-pin mini-XLR (unbalanced).
There are 2 cables in the set: the first (orange), 3 m long, the second (black), 1.2 m long, but when the spiral is stretched, it can reach 1.8 m. Also included in the box is a velor carrying bag.
Due to the uniform processing of the entire frequency range, all music in these headphones sounds good. All genres, from choral music and reggae to orchestral compositions and rock, sound great.
The AKG K712 Pro is a very competitive professional pair of full-size headphones, suitable for both studio and home use. In terms of amplification, it is not too demanding, although a good amplifier with a DAC will definitely not hurt it.
