Meridian G-06 is a high-end CD player of the English company Meridian. Its pedigree dates back to the Meridian 508 model, which has won more than 20 awards, including a Class "A" title from Stereophile magazine. The player uses the technologies of the legendary reference player Meridian 800 player, for the evaluation of which reviewers were forced to create a new rating Class "A +"!
The internal design of the Meridian G06 has undergone significant improvements, both in the analog circuits and in the digital section. Multi-layer printed circuit boards, four separate power supplies, ultra-modern technology of surface mounting of parts, carefully selected components of audiophile quality - and of course Meridian signature style.
The heart of the player is traditionally a computer CD / DVD-ROM transport. It usually works at a standard speed, but is able to spin the disk to high speeds, allowing you to repeatedly recalculate information and correct errors even on the most problematic disks. This feature alone provides a tenfold improvement in playback accuracy compared to other CD players.
Jitter reduction technology, an inevitable "disease" of any digital devices, is used in the Meridian G06 for smooth, open and clear sound and an accurate audio scene. This is achieved due to the use of the proprietary technology of calculating the flow of digital data by an independent clock frequency generator in the audio output circuits.
The player uses an audiophile DAC 192kHz / 24bit and a high-quality analog stage with a noise and distortion level of less than -95dB. All output connectors are gold-plated for maximum quality switching.
The RS232 serial port is used in the Meridian G06 for remote control as part of a multi-room or smart home system and allows the player's software to be upgraded in the future.
The Meridian G06 comes with the Meridian System Remote Plus branded universal student remote control. The remote control is sensitive to light and its illumination is activated when working in a dark room.
