The Swiss company Thorens was founded in 1883 by entrepreneur Herman Thorens. It made a huge contribution to the development of vinyl players.
Thorens TD 190-2 is an easy-to-install and set-up model that includes a 0.7 kg aluminum support disc with a diameter of 304 mm, a Thorens TP 19-1 tonearm. The motor with a belt drive provides the following rotation frequencies of the support disk: 33 1/3 rpm, 45 rpm. and 78 rpm. The dimensions of the player are standard - 420 x 130 x 360 mm, so it can be freely installed on a standard shelf.
To the right of the axis of the tonearm is a rotary wheel for adjusting the pressing force with a step of scale divisions of 0.1 g.
Setting the level of sliding force (anti-skating) a washer with metric divisions is located under the shank of the tonearm.
