The vinyl record player is made in England by Sundown Electronic Engineering, Ltd. (S.E.E.). The device is in perfect technical and cosmetic condition.
The body of the player is a combination of two sheets of MDF mechanically separated from each other by two stiff strips of neoprene foam. They pass tangentially to the plate groove, along the cartridge console. This design had real advantages. It provided an additional degree of separation between the body and the base. The smaller upper part of the Revolver plinth held the motor, main bearing, disc and tonearm, while the slightly larger lower part held the legs - the first barrier to unwanted vibrations traveling up the soundboard from the base. While most turntables available without a suspension chassis depended from flexible rubber feet to reduce external vibrations, the Revolver's two-level base provided additional vibration protection. The device uses a Saia AC synchronous motor. The set includes a rubber clamp for records, which also got its own name - The Pig (Precision Instant Grip).
The player is equipped with a Revolver precision tonearm and a new Philips 400 head. The tonearm has anti-skating, height (VTA angle) and head load control.
