Vinyl player of the English company Roksan. Instead of the standard equipment (Roksan Nima tonearm and Roksan Chorus Black head), a higher-level Audio Technica AT 1120 tonearm and Empire 2000Z head are installed, which significantly improved the quality of reproduction of vinyl records.
Made of acrylic, the Roksan Radius 5 looks great. A completely transparent case, a translucent disk - all this creates a feeling of weightlessness, and the player seems to hang in the air. The case itself consists of two parts: one for the synchronous motor and bearing, the other for the tonearm platform. They are separated from each other by three spacers that dampen vibration. By the way, the pulley on which the belt is worn is mechanically decoupled from the motor rotor. The semi-suspended design of the Radius 5 has a 24-pole AC motor attached to the lower of 2 sockets, and the upper socket is isolated by rubber bushings. The motor is further insulated by being mounted in a flexible housing, which in turn drives an opaque acrylic plate via a synthetic belt.
A distinctive feature of good audio equipment is low listener fatigue. With the Roksan Radius 5, I always feel like I'm listening longer and more attentively. You don't want to run to the kitchen to make a sandwich when the vinyl is spinning on this unit. The Radius sounds balanced. You want detail, you get it, but casually. bearing and spindle are designed and manufactured with high precision from solid brass and stainless steel alloy to ensure smooth operation and durability.
