The Barzetti record player embodies the best developments of the German company Acoustic Signature: large disc weight, very low friction coefficient and bearing noise level, precise control of the speed of rotation of the electric motor, precision machining of parts with minimal tolerances, German precision and stylish design, high reliability over many years of intensive exploitation
The 36 mm thick disc is made of aluminum and weighs 6 kg. Processing on a precision machine with a diamond cutter guarantees not only a flawless appearance, but also perfect balance. The disc bearings are made of high-strength steel with a carefully polished surface and have bronze bushings.
The base of the bearing uses high-tech material Tidorfolon in the new Tidorfolon II modification, specially optimized taking into account the properties of the Barzetti disc. All player bearings are designed for "dry" operation without the use of lubricants.
The electric motor is powered by an Alpha "S" generator unit modified specifically for Barzetti. The voltage in the generator unit is converted into a constant 12 V, from which a sinusoid of ideal shape and stable frequency is produced to power the electric motor. Thanks to this, interference in the network does not affect the operation of the player.
The one-piece chassis with 50 mm MDF is a reliable base for all elements of the player, including the bearing bracket and tonearm mounting. The body of the player is covered with white 10-layer glossy piano lacquer.
