Margriet Sjoerdsma is a Dutch singer, composer and teacher. They have released several albums and have given many concerts, including the collaboration with the Concertgebouw Amsterdam but also the North Sea Jazz. In Thailand she has toured with the Dutch Swing College Band.
Margriet was deeply impressed when she first heard Eva Cassidy sing. Eva Cassidy, who died of cancer in 1996 at the age of 33, was unknown during her lifetime. This only came after her death. Margriet was impressed by her voice, the honesty in her singing and the minimalism. Margriet gives her own interpretation on this LP with 8 covers by Eva. Margriet is very happy that the brother of Eva, Dan Cassidy has assisted her on a number of songs.
This creates the opportunity for more information. You can hear that on various tracks, even with an untrained ear. Gūnter Pauler has done his  work again and Margriet and Fritz can be proud of the audiophile result.
