The French company Davis Acoustics names its products after famous artists - Dufy, Matisse, Sisley.

The company develops and manufactures its own dynamic heads, which is where its activities began in 1986. Currently,

Davis Acoustics is headquartered in the Aube suburb of Paris and employs highly qualified professionals.

All acoustics are still being developed under the leadership of Michel Visan, the company's founder and mastermind.

The flagship of the reference line, the 3-way Sisley speaker, is equipped with speakers

that are significantly different from younger models. First of all, there is a tweeter with an inch Kevlar diffuser,

followed by a 6.5-inch midrange speaker with a diffuser made of the same material, and finally,

a pair of 6.5-inch woofers with paper diffusers. On the front panel there is a phase inverter port,

on the back there is an aluminum plate with terminals for connecting the amplifier. The protective net is fixed on pins, and the case

is mounted on a metal support. There are almost no parallel walls in the case, which minimizes internal reflections and, as a result,

extraneous overtones. The sound stage is adequate for the dimensions of the acoustics – the foreground is wide,

the virtual sources are not blurred, a decent depth perspective is felt.

The sound resolution of Sisley is quite sufficient to show all the nuances of audiophile recordings.

The smallest intonation nuances on the vocals, characteristic timbres of musical instruments –

everything is very vital, and the accents are placed correctly, that is, nothing is emphasized or outlined.

There are no obvious violations of the tonal balance due to the correct operation of the tweeter.

Strings and brass sound cleanly and without annoying ringing, cymbals really hit the ears, but even they do not cause discomfort.

A big plus of sisley is that thanks to the impressive energy and the absence of extraneous overtones

(body resonances, the noise of the phase inverter, which, by the way, is brought forward),

they are able to create an almost real picture of what is happening.

And it doesn't matter if the concert hall is a conservatory or a rock venue.
