B & W 683 is the flagship of the updated 600 series of the English firm Bower & Wilkins.
As in the Series 800, it uses the famous Nautilus tweeter technology with new neodymium magnets
for increased sensitivity. In the mid-bass speakers, baskets of a modernized design are used, which reduce parasitic overtones.
The speakers feature B&W 25mm aluminum dome tweeters loaded onto Nautilus tapered tubes.
The 150mm diameter FST midrange diffuser is made of the company's yellow braided Kevlar,
and both 165mm diameter bass radiators are made of a paper-Kevlar mixture, which is glued to the front layer of aluminum.
The woofer has a mushroom-shaped design - the coil of the voice coil, the diffuser and the dust cap are glued together.
Crossovers are simple and have a separation of 350 Hz, 4 kHz.
The branded port of the Flowport phase inverter is characterized by a low level of turbulent noise.
